WHAT IS PVC?
PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. The formulation resembles that of vinyl house siding. Our products are modified to provide extra impact strength and resist ultraviolet rays.
WILL IT TURN YELLOW?
No, our vinyl material contains titanium dioxide pigment for ultraviolet light resistance.
HOW DOES IT WITHSTAND THE HOT/COLD WEATHER?
It is normal for materials to expand and contract during temperature changes. However, our product does contain impact modifiers for cold weather and will not break unless subject to unusual impact. Our product is engineered to withstand normal climatic conditions.
DO THE POSTS HAVE WOOD INSIDE?
No, the heavy-walled vinyl extrusions are engineered to withstand strong winds without requiring any additional reinforcement. The vinyl will flex slightly, distributing the wind load throughout the fence. Our fence meets or exceeds the requirements necessary for excellent performance in the field.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO CONSIDER WHEN BUYING A FENCE?
The number one thing to consider is the experience and reputation of the company and installation crews. FFC Fencing Co. has been in business since 1974, and has more experience with vinyl fence than anyone in this area. It is also important to consider the quality of the product being installed. A lifetime warranty is worthless if the fence is installed incorrectly, or the manufacturer is no longer in business.
HOW IS IT INSTALLED?
Each post is set in a 12” diameter, 36” deep hole and backfilled with concrete. There is a heavy-duty aluminum post stiffener inside both gate posts (hinge post and latch post) as well as an aluminum frame inside the PVC gate.
DO YOU USE SUB-CONTRACTORS?
No, all of our crew members are company employees currently living in Northwest Indiana.
HOW DO YOU CLEAN PVC?
Although rain will keep your pvc product fairly clean, you may want to clean it occasionally with household detergent and water using a brush or a power washer.
CAN THIS FENCE BE MADE TO FIT MY YARD?
Our products are manufactured in the USA at a state-of- the-art, multi-million dollar, computer controlled manufacturing facility and are ordered specifically to fit the dimensions of your property. WHAT DOES THE LIFETIME WARRANTY COVER?
The manufacturer warrants there are no defects in material, and the vinyl will not peel, blister, flake, rot, corrode, rust, have termite damage, abnormal weathering or discoloration. The warranty does not cover damage due to fire, violent storms, or heavy impact.
